Is there sugar added to my muesli?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We use Kakvi, the purest kind of sugar available (even more healthy than jaggery), to sweeten these mueslis. However, its Glycemic Index is comparable to that of jaggery. Therefore, please check with your doctor before ingesting if you have diabetes or are entirely off sugar. PS: If youd like, we now offer a muesli with no added sugar.

What is the ideal serving size?

40 grammes is what we advise. Sufficient to satisfy your hunger and kick-start your morning. But not to the point that it exceeds your calorie intake or makes you feel sleepy.

What is Kakvi? Isnt that simply sweets?

Accepted Answer

The purest form of sugar that exists is kakvi. When reduced further, the dark, golden liquid solidifies as jaggery. It keeps much more nutrients than jaggery since we take it out in the middle. Naturally, over 70% of Kakvi is sucrose, or sugar. It implies that it is comparable to sugar in terms of the glycemic index and insulin effect. However, it is significantly more nourishing.
